Find the time to open and close the door, and to listen and watch. Some noise is normal, but it shouldn’t bother your ears. Your doors shouldn’t shake, or struggle. If you notice these things, take note of where they originate. You can do this once per month, or anytime you use the garage door and have an extra moment.
Keep It Clean
It may seem overly simple, but it’s important—keeping things clean. Leaves, dirt, and other debris and buildup harm the workings of your door, from rollers, to tracks, and more. Take the time to look at those moving parts and make sure they’re reasonably clean.
Nuts and Bolts
Things come loose over time. The only way to prevent that is to know what may come loose and make sure it stays appropriately tight. Check these at intervals by observing them and testing them with a gentle tightening.
